Luis Ramos Poley is a Lecturer in Labor and Social Security Law at the University of Girona. His research focuses on immigration law, workers' rights, and legal frameworks for migrant integration. He is affiliated with the Research Group on Immigration Management, Free Movement of Persons and Workers' Rights and the Consolidated Research Group on Taxation, Labor Relations and Business at the Open University of Catalonia.
- Education: Obtained his PhD in 2022 with a thesis on "Legal routes of access to Spain for migrant persons with the objective of residing and working. Special attention to the UN Global Compact on Migration".
Teaching: He teaches at undergraduate, master's, and postgraduate levels, specializing in Labor Law and Social Security Law. His work spans academic and practical domains, including contributions to the Thomson Reuters Aranzadi publishing house's Social Practice editions (2022/2023).
Research & Projects: Currently involved in the research project Promotion and protection of SMEs: legal and fiscal aspects, supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. His research explores intersections between immigration law, labor rights, and social security systems.
Professional Affiliations: Member of the research team under the AGAUR-Generalitat of Catalonia, and collaborator at the ESERP University Business & Law School (2021-2022).
