Dr. Luis Pinho is a Research Fellow in the Department of Chemistry at Lancaster University, specializing in green hydrogen and catalysis. He is actively affiliated with Energy Lancaster and the Henry Royce Institute, driving research in sustainable hydrogen production technologies.
His research focuses on developing novel catalysts for electrochemical water splitting, with expertise in nanosized electrocatalysts for alkaline hydrogen evolution, redox-mediated systems, and corrosion-based synthesis of stainless steel porous catalysts. Key interests include sustainable energy conversion, electrocatalyst benchmarking, and scalable green hydrogen production methods.
His 2024 publication benchmarks nanosized electrocatalysts for redox-mediated alkaline hydrogen evolution, reflecting current trends in optimizing catalyst efficiency and durability for industrial-scale renewable hydrogen systems.
