Luis Paris is a Professor at the University of Burgundy, leading the Geometry, Algebra, Dynamics and Topology (GADT) team. He is affiliated with the Institute of Mathematical Research of Dijon and contributes to research in algebra and topology.
- Research Focus: Braid groups, Artin groups, Garside groups, Coxeter groups, Mapping class groups, and Hyperplane arrangements.
- Teaching: Offers courses in first-year Licence (Math1B), third-year Licence (Topologie), and first-year Master's (Algèbre 2).
His recent publications analyze parabolic subgroups, endomorphisms, and structural properties of Artin and Coxeter groups. Students he advises include Juan Gonzalez-Meneses, Nuno Franco, Loic Rabenda, and others.
