Luis Norberto González Alonso

Luis Norberto González Alonso is a Professor of Public International Law and European Law at the University of Salamanca, where he also serves as Director of the European Documentation Centre—Europe Direct. Accredited as a university professor by ANECA since 2013, he has held editorial roles as Executive Editor of the Revista General de Derecho Europeo and member of the Revista de Derecho Comunitario Europeo Editorial Board.

His academic background includes a PhD and law degree from the University of Salamanca (both with extraordinary awards), and postgraduate studies at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium. He has led three national research projects on EU external action with funding from the Spanish National Research Program and participated in ten additional projects funded by competitive calls.

He has been a visiting professor at numerous institutions, including the European Commission in Brussels, Institut d'Etudes Politiques (Grenoble, France), and universities in Hungary, Colombia, Nicaragua, and Chile. His scientific awards include three six-year research grants from CNEAI and extraordinary awards for graduate and doctoral studies.
