Luis Ignacio Gordillo Perez

Luis Ignacio Gordillo Pérez is a Full Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Deusto, Spain, and holds the Jean Monnet Chair in Economic Constitutionalism and European Integration. He teaches in undergraduate (Law, Law & Business Administration) and postgraduate programs (Official Master in Maritime-Port Business Management, European Doctoral Program in Economic and Business Law).

Research Interests: His work focuses on constitutional theory, transnational legal fragmentation, European Union law, fundamental rights, public services regulation, and pedagogical innovation in legal education. Since 2012, he has led the research group 'Economic Constitution and Social Justice' (IT1768-22, Basque Government) and the Jean Monnet Chair project (2019-2024, European Commission).

Recent Publications address parliamentary erosion, transnational legal dynamics, and economic constitutionalism. He has authored or co-authored over 100 publications, including books like Una teoría del Estado constitucional europeo (2020) and Constitución económica y gobernanza económica de la UE (2019).
