Luis Garcia is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Vermont (UVM). He holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and the University of Colorado, Boulder. His research focuses on water resources, agricultural water use, and decision support systems, leveraging remote sensing, GIS, and hydrological modeling.
Educationally, he teaches courses such as Civil Engineering Principles I and II, Advanced Engineering using GPS and GIS, and Strategies for Engineering Problem Solving. His expertise bridges environmental engineering, precision agriculture, and sustainable water management.
