Luis Alfredo Sanchez Andalco is a Lecturer in Statistics Support at the LIB Mathematics Support Centre, University of Sheffield. He holds a PhD in Economics awarded in August 2023. His research focuses on integrating artificial intelligence and open-source models into statistics education to enhance student support, alongside investigations into political economy dynamics, including clientelism, cartel violence, and democratization processes in Mexico.

His work bridges statistical pedagogy with critical analyses of socio-political phenomena in Latin America.
