Luigi Rigon is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, University of Trieste. He serves as a member of the Department's Board and Boards of Studies for Physics and Medical Physics programs. His research focuses on interdisciplinary applications of physics to life sciences, environmental studies, and cultural heritage.
He participates in the A compact multimodal X-ray system for 3D micro-imaging of soft tissue project (2023-2026) funded by the Ministry of University and Research. His work involves spectral and phase-contrast X-ray techniques for biomedical imaging. A single publication co-authored by him in 2021 addresses surface and interface defects in Al-coated thermoplastic heterostacks.
