Lui Raymond Sha

Lui Raymond Sha is the Donald B. Gillies Chair and holds the rank of Professor across multiple departments at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is affiliated with the Siebel School of Computing and Data Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Information Trust Institute, and Coordinated Science Lab. His research focuses on real-time systems, cyber-physical systems, and safety-critical applications such as autonomous vehicles and UAV navigation.

Key research interests include real-time systems, embedded systems, and physics-informed AI. Recent work emphasizes resilient control strategies, collision avoidance in autonomous vehicles, and physics-regulated deep reinforcement learning.
