Ludwig Schmidt

Ludwig Schmidt is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University and a member of Stanford Data Science. He also serves as a member of the technical staff at Anthropic and LAION, contributing to both academic and industrial research in machine learning.

Dr. Schmidt completed his PhD at MIT, where he received the prestigious George M. Sprowls Award for best PhD theses in computer science, followed by a postdoctoral position at UC Berkeley. His educational background provides a strong foundation for his research at the intersection of theoretical and applied machine learning.
