Ludovic Pailler is a Professor of Private Law and Criminal Sciences at the Faculty of Law, Jean Moulin University Lyon 3. He holds several leadership roles, including Vice-President in charge of digital strategy, Assessor to the Dean for the Bachelor's degree, Director of the Master’s in Law and Digital Activities, and Co-director of the Legal Clinic.
He teaches civil law, international law, and private law, with a focus on digital and European dimensions. He is affiliated with the Research Center for International, European, and Comparative Law and holds the Authorization to Direct Research (HDR).
His research interests include private international law, fundamental rights, artificial intelligence, and personal data protection. His work bridges legal theory with digital innovation, particularly in EU digital law and human rights.
Recent publications reflect a strong trend in digital law, gender identity, and transnational justice, with a focus on EU legal frameworks and enforcement mechanisms.

Ludovic Pailler is actively involved in academic leadership and legal education innovation, particularly through the Master’s in Law and Digital Activities and the Legal Clinic. He advises students and contributes to curriculum development in law and technology. He also teaches courses in English on European Union law, digital law, and artificial intelligence.
He is a member of CNU Section 01 (Private Law and Criminal Sciences) and conducts research under the theme of justice, with an emphasis on digital transformation and fundamental rights.
