Lucy Watkins

Lucy Watkins is a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing and Associate Director Cluster Two at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). She holds roles in the Nursing and Midwifery department, balancing academic leadership, teaching, and research. Her expertise spans mental health nursing, simulation-based education, and technology-enhanced learning. She has pioneered educational programs like the UChoose Virtual Patient Learning Programme and led NMC re- validations for nursing curricula. Lucy is also Department Chair for National and International Placements, fostering ERASMUS partnerships with Bergen, Norway, and Lapland, Finland.

Qualifications include a BSc (Hons), MSc in Medical Education, and multiple postgraduate certifications. She has been nominated for prestigious awards, including the UWE Student Experience Award and VC’s Excellence Award for Inspirational Lecturer.
