Lucy Shapiro

Lucy Shapiro is a Professor in the Department of Developmental Biology at Stanford University's School of Medicine, where she holds the Virginia and D. K. Ludwig Chair in Cancer Research. She serves as Director of the Beckman Center for Molecular and Genetic Medicine and maintains affiliations as a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution. Her professional roles extend to advisory positions at the Pasteur Institute, Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, and Lawrence Berkeley National Labs.
