معرفی
Lucy Hart is a PhD student and Associate Lecturer at the Lancaster Environment Centre, Lancaster University. Her research focuses on atmospheric transport and fate of fluorinated Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), particularly short-chain perfluorocarboxylic acids (PFCAs), using global chemical transport models. She is supervised by Dr Ryan Hossaini, Prof Oliver Wild, and Prof Cris Halsall under the NERC ECORISC CDT.
Education:
- BSc Chemistry, University of St Andrews
Research Interests: Her project evaluates the environmental impacts of new low-global-warming-potential refrigerants and their contribution to PFCAs. This work informs policy frameworks like the Montreal Protocol and EU REACH regulations. Methodologies include multi-model approaches to quantify pollutant deposition in remote regions.
Publications: Contributed to written evidence on UK-Antarctic environmental policy (2025). Active in the AtMOS research group.
Grants/Funding: NERC ECORISC CDT doctoral scholarship. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to address emerging pollutants.
