Dr Lucy Cramp is a Professor of Archaeology in the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology at the University of Bristol. She specializes in advanced analytical techniques for studying ancient organic residues, with a focus on reconstructing human diets and food systems across prehistoric and Roman periods.

Her research interests include lipid residue analysis, stable isotopes, radiocarbon dating, and the application of gas chromatography and mass spectrometry to archaeological questions. She collaborates closely with chemists like Professor Richard Evershed and Professor Ian Bull from the School of Chemistry.
