Lucrezia Canzutti

Dr Lucrezia Canzutti is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in the Department of War Studies at King's College London, specializing in critical migration studies, border politics, and state violence.

Her research examines the politics of noncitizenship as a project of racial exclusion and erasure situated on a continuum of state violence. Canzutti's current project, 'Archives of Noncitizenship', investigates how erasure manifests temporally, materially, and spatially, and how it is navigated by affected communities in Cambodia. Methodologically, she employs ethnography, archival research, oral histories, and creative practice across diverse contexts including Italy, Spain, the UK, and Cambodia.

Canzutti has published in leading journals including Political Geography, International Political Sociology, Environment and Planning C, and Global Studies Quarterly. Her collaborative work with artists and NGOs emphasizes engaged research approaches to migration studies.
