Lucio Lara Santos

Lucio Lara Santos serves as Full Professor and Coordinator of the Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine at Fernando Pessoa University, while also holding a professorship in Surgical Oncology at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of Porto. His clinical leadership includes Director of the Department of Surgical Oncology and Head of the Intermediate Care Surgery Unit at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Porto.

He pioneers translational studies on surgical risk scores and oncology unit organization in resource-limited settings, bridging laboratory findings with clinical practice through his leadership in pathology and experimental therapeutics research groups.
