Lucille Allain is a Professor of Social Work and Head of School/Department of Mental Health & Social Work at Middlesex University. Previously, she served as Associate Dean of Social Work at the University of East London and Director of Social Work Programmes at Middlesex. A registered social worker, she co-chairs the Association of Professors of Social Work and maintains practice links as an independent member of a local authority fostering panel. Her research focuses on child and family social work, innovative teaching models, and ethics in social work practice.
