Lucie BARGEL is a University Professor of Political Sociology at Côte d'Azur University, France. Her research focuses on the ethnography of voting, local political spaces, political effects of migration, and gender studies with an emphasis on feminist activism since May 1968. She is a Fellow of the Migration Institute and authorized to direct research in social sciences by EHESS (2017).

Her fields of interest include political socialization, gender and political parties, and electoral institutions. Her work has been published in journals like Journal of Modern Italian Studies and Revue Française de Science Politique, with a focus on Italian citizenship regimes, migrant voting rights, and gender in electoral campaigns. She supervises PhD students such as Adeline Denis and Célia Nguyen. Scientific awards include her 2017 EHESS research director authorization and Migration Institute Fellowship.
