Luciano Caratori is a Part-time Professor at the Centre of Studies on Energy Regulation (CEARE-UBA) of the University of Buenos Aires and also holds a part-time teaching role at the Technology Institute of Buenos Aires (ITBA) in Argentina. He is a Global Executive Master participant at the European University Institute (EUI) within the Florence School of Transnational Governance.
His research and professional work focuses on Energy and Climate, Energy Regulation, Electricity Market, Decarbonisation Policy, Climate Change Governance, Climate Change Adaptation, and Financial Markets. He leads the global Energy Cluster with the Climate Champions Team, supporting UN Climate Change negotiations by mobilising non-state actors to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement. In the public sector, he has served as Undersecretary of Energy Planning, National Director of Energy Information, and Advisor to the Vice-Chair of the Mining, Energy and Fuels Committee of Argentina’s National Senate. Since 2011, he has been a researcher on energy and climate change at Fundación e Instituto Torcuato Di Tella (FTDT).
