Luciano Angelini

Luciano Angelini is a University Researcher in Labor Law at the Department of Law, School of Law, University of Urbino Carlo Bo. He serves as Co-director of Olympus, the Observatory for the permanent monitoring of legislation and jurisprudence on workplace safety, established by the University of Urbino Carlo Bo at the Faculty of Law in collaboration with the Marche Region Health Department and INAIL - Marche Regional Office since 2006. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief of the online journal "Diritto della Sicurezza del Lavoro. Rassegna dell'Osservatorio Olympus," registered with the Urbino Court.

His research focuses on workplace health and safety law with particular attention to:

• Multilevel governance of workplace safety systems
• Worker representation and participation in safety matters
• Legal frameworks for comprehensive risk assessment
• Integration of producer and consumer safety in supply chains
• Gender perspectives in workplace safety
• Workplace safety during pandemics and emergencies

His publications reveal a strong trend toward examining the intersection of workplace safety with broader social issues including gender equality, sustainable production, and the connections between human and animal welfare in occupational contexts. His recent work increasingly addresses contemporary challenges such as pandemic responses and circular economy approaches to safety.

Dr. Angelini has received recognition through his leadership roles:

• Since 2021, he has served on the Scientific Committee of the International Festival of Workplace Health and Safety
• Since 2023, he has been a partner in Olympus Health & Safety Consulting S.r.l., a spin-off from the University of Urbino Carlo Bo with recognition as an innovative startup

His teaching activities include courses on Workplace Health and Safety and Equal Opportunity Rights across multiple degree programs at the University. His research has established him as a leading expert in workplace safety law, particularly regarding evolving regulatory frameworks and practical implementation challenges in Italian and European contexts.
