Luciana Herda

Luciana Herda is a Researcher at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, where she joined in August 2022 as a Research Integration Coordinator. She leads project management and administration across multiple research projects, with a focus on large-scale collaborative initiatives.

Her educational background includes:

• Pharmacy degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Bucharest, Romania)
• MSc in Drug Discovery and Development from University College London School of Pharmacy

Research interests span nanotechnology, biomedical applications, and project management in academic settings. Her work has centered on functionalised nanoparticles for blood-brain barrier targeting, and she has managed consortia like:

• BREAST-PREDICT (€7.5 million from Irish Cancer Society)
