Lucedio Greci

Professor Lucedio Greci holds a professorship at the University of Ancona since 1985, following his appointment as an assistant at the University of Bologna in 1967. He specializes in the chemistry and biochemistry of free radicals, pioneering research demonstrating the dual antioxidant/pro-oxidant properties of certain molecules and developing methods for synthesizing stable free radicals. His collaborations with the University of Physical Education and Sport in Gdańsk since the 1980s have been instrumental in securing EU TEMPUS program funding, enabling international internships and equipping Tricity institutions with lasting scientific infrastructure. His work bridges chemical synthesis and biological applications, influencing global research in radical mechanisms.
