Luca Xianran Lin

Luca Xianran Lin is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University at Buffalo (SUNY), where he holds a doctoral supervisory role. Previously, he served as Assistant Professor at HEC Montreal (2021–2024). He earned his PhD in Financial Management from IESE Business School (Spain, 2021), with visiting appointments at the University of Padua (2024), University of Bologna (2023), and London School of Economics (2020).

His research focuses on financial institutions' influence on firm behavior, particularly in banking, corporate governance, and M&A dynamics. Key themes include lender behavior, common ownership effects, and creditor monitoring mechanisms. He has published in顶级 journals like Journal of Financial Economics and Journal of Corporate Finance.
