Luc Pastur is an Associate Professor at ENSTA Paris, a graduate school of Institut Polytechnique Paris, affiliated with the Unité de Mécanique (UME) and the Dynamique des fluides et Acoustique (DA) research group. He holds leadership roles as Head of the OFFWIND master program, Director of the third-year "Off-Shore Energies" track at ENSTA, and Co-Director of the IP Paris master program WAPE.
His research encompasses experimental and theoretical fluid mechanics, with core interests in:
- Aerodynamics and stall flow dynamics
- Bluff body wake instabilities and control strategies
- Reduced-order modeling techniques
- Fluid-structure interaction phenomena
- Bathtub vortex emptying dynamics
He has published over 55 articles spanning aerodynamics, flow instabilities, Lagrangian mixing, and fluid-structure interactions, with frequent international collaboration.
He secured ~10M€ in research funding through projects with ANR, Airbus Foundation, DGA, EDF, CEA, and Thales. He established an interdisciplinary research network with institutions including Harbin Institute of Technology (China), Khalifa University (UAE), University of Buenos Aires (Argentina), and University of Toronto (Canada).
