Luc Mounier serves as a Teacher-researcher at VetAgro Sup's Veterinary Campus, holding dual affiliations with the Teaching Department of Livestock and Veterinary Public Health and the UMR Herbivores research unit. He directs training programs and coordinates both the institutional Animal Welfare Chair and the internationally accessible Animal Welfare MOOC.
His scholarly work centers on animal behavior and welfare science, with specialized applications in livestock systems and veterinary public health policy. Through the Animal Welfare Chair, he integrates cross-sectoral expertise to advance evidence-based practices in agricultural animal management and ethical veterinary standards.
As director of training, Mounier oversees curriculum development and educational strategy for animal welfare disciplines, shaping professional competencies across veterinary and agricultural programs.
He maintains active research engagement through UMR Herbivores, a multidisciplinary unit focused on sustainable herbivore production systems, while leading the Animal Welfare Chair as a hub for industry collaboration, technical innovation, and policy development in animal ethics.
