Luc F.M. van Summeren

Luc F.M. van Summeren is an Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology, based in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences within the Technology, Innovation & Society School. His research bridges theory and practice in sustainability transitions, focusing on local energy systems, energy communities, and digital technology integration. He leads projects like the cVPP (Community-based Virtual Power Plant) and ORAKLE (Organising Knowledge and Learning for the Regional Energy Transition), emphasizing just and inclusive transitions. Van Summeren teaches in programs such as Sustainable Innovation and Sustainability Transitions, emphasizing systems thinking and justice.
