Lu Yang

Lu Yang is a Lecturer of Physical Education at the Sports Center of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), specializing in Chinese traditional martial arts, particularly Sanda. He holds a Master's degree in Chinese Traditional Sports Studies from Guangzhou Sport University and brings extensive practical experience as a national top-level Sanda referee, national judo referee, and former head coach of the National Kickboxing Training Camp.

His expertise combines theoretical knowledge with extensive practical experience gained through years of competition and coaching at national levels, having coached multiple national championship winners during his tenure as head coach of the National Kickboxing Training Camp.

His scholarly work examines technical aspects of martial arts competition systems, with a focus on biomechanical optimization of techniques. This research bridges traditional martial arts practices with modern sports science methodology, particularly in analyzing movement efficiency and rule adaptations for competitive contexts.
