Loïc Méès

Loïc Méès is a CNRS Researcher at the Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Acoustics (LMFA), affiliated with National Institute of Applied Sciences Lyon (INSA Lyon). He serves as the Head of the Multi-Physics, Multi-Phase & Multi-Scale Flow Team and is a Member of the laboratory council.

Dr. Méès' research focuses on:

• Understanding and describing interactions between light and small objects
• Developing measurement techniques for flows, particularly two-phase flows
• Applying Generalized Lorenz-Mie Theories to study laser beam and particle interactions
• Using inline digital holography to track droplets in 3D and monitor evaporation
• Developing optical diagnosis techniques for two-phase media

His work has significant applications in fluid mechanics, where non-intrusive and precise optical techniques are widely used. He collaborates with the unconventional imaging team at the Hubert Curien Laboratory (Jean Monnet University, Saint Etienne) on inverse problem approaches for hologram reproduction.

As Head of the Multi-Physics, Multi-Phase & Multi-Scale Flow Team, Dr. Méès leads research efforts in developing advanced optical measurement techniques for complex flow phenomena.
