Louise Pinkerton

Louise Pinkerton is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Iowa. Her clinical work focuses on voice and upper airway disorders, including professional/singing voice rehabilitation and gender affirming voice care. She collaborates in the LGBTQ Clinic and works with graduate students on voice evaluations and group therapy. Her research explores voice perception, clinical supervision, and culturally sensitive practice. Pinkerton is a trained soprano with expertise in vocal pedagogy and has presented widely on vocal health and gender affirming care.
