Dr. Louise Marquart-Wilson is a Senior Lecturer in Biostatistics at the School of Public Health, University of Queensland. Her work focuses on advancing statistical methodologies for medical and public health research, particularly in infectious diseases (e.g., malaria) and cancer epidemiology. She holds a PhD in Biostatistics from UQ and has contributed to over 100 peer-reviewed publications, including studies on antimalarial drug efficacy, breast cancer subtypes, and statistical modeling techniques.
Her research interests include generalized linear mixed effects models, malaria parasite dynamics analysis, and interrupted time series methods. Collaborations span institutions like QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute and the Australian Prostate Cancer BioResource. She advises on statistical design for clinical trials and has expertise in handling longitudinal and clustered data.
Key areas of her recent work include evaluating breast cancer molecular subtypes using cancer registries, analyzing longitudinal malaria infection data, and investigating the impact of dietary and sleep patterns on breast cancer survivors. Her contributions to public health research have informed clinical practices in antimalarial drug development and patient care optimization.
