Professor Louis Rendina is a leading researcher at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, The University of Sydney. His work focuses on the synthesis and medicinal chemistry of boron and lanthanoid elements, particularly for cancer theranostics and drug discovery.
Key research themes include:
- Exploitation of boron and rare earth radiometals in cancer therapies
- Design of theranostic agents for diagnostic and therapeutic applications
- Development of carborane-based molecular scaffolds for biological targeting
- Creation of boron fluorophores for bioimaging
