Dr. Louis N. Iannuzzi is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at NYU Steinhardt. He holds affiliations with Bellevue Hospital Center's Department of Dermatology as a Clinical Wound Specialist and the Langone-NYU Kimmel Wound and Hyperbaric Center. Previously, he served as Chief Physical Therapist of the NY Regional Ambulatory Hansen's Disease Program and a Clinical Consultant for Staten Island University Hospital's Diabetes Treatment Center. Dr. Iannuzzi is also a Corps Specialist in Insensitive Limb Management related to Leprosy and Diabetes and has been a board-certified pedorthist since 1990.

His research focuses on wound care, pathomechanics, electromyography, and electrotherapy. He has contributed to studies on chemotherapy-induced neuroarthropathy and lower extremity ulcer management. Dr. Iannuzzi’s professional service includes 25 years as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS), where he attained the rank of Captain, notably during Hurricane Katrina and Rita relief efforts. He also participated in World Trade Center Relief and the Sierra Leone Amputee Project.
His clinical expertise spans dermatology, diabetes-related limb management, and pedorthics, with a commitment to advancing wound care practices and interdisciplinary healthcare.
