Lou Pepe is an Associate Professor in the School of Theater, Film and Media Arts at Temple University. He is a filmmaker specializing in documentary and fiction films, known for works like Lost in La Mancha (2002), Brothers of the Head (2006), and The Bad Kids (2016). He collaborates with Keith Fulton under the name Low Key Pictures, creating documentaries on public education and related initiatives. Pepe holds BS degrees in Computer Science and Humanities from MIT and an MFA from Temple University.

Pepe’s work extends to education advocacy through documentaries like The New Teacher Experience (2012) and I Am Education (2013), funded by the Gates and Participant Foundations. He directs Temple’s L.A. Study-Away program for entertainment industry professionals.
