Lotta Dellve is a Professor at the University of Gothenburg's Department of Sociology and Work Science and holds a position as an Unsalaried Associate Professor in the Department of Community Medicine and Public Health. She has been a Professor of Occupational Science since 2016. Her research focuses on psychosocial work environments, leadership dynamics, and sustainable work practices. Dellve has held visiting professorships at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and the University of Borås. She leads the LEXLIV research group within the Center for Aging and Health (AgeCap) and collaborates with institutions like the Center for Gender Research (GIG). Her work emphasizes organizational learning, healthcare leadership, and strategies to reduce workplace silence and improve well-being in eldercare sectors. She advises numerous PhD candidates and contributes to policy development through academic networks.
Education: PhD in Occupational Medicine from the University of Gothenburg (2003), with a thesis on occupational disorders in home care workers. Subsequent roles include Associate Professor (2009) and Visiting Professorships (2012).
R&D: Current projects explore leadership’s role in sustainable work, process improvement in healthcare, and age/ethnicity equality in eldercare. Key themes include health-promoting leadership, organizational silence, and SDG8 implementation for decent work.
Publications (selected): Over 50 peer-reviewed articles between 2020–2025, focusing on workplace health, eldercare innovation, and SDGs. Recent works address migrant workers' rights, mentorship programs, and pandemic-era management challenges.
Grants/Awards: Active in review panels for FORTE, AFA, and other health research councils. Member of editorial boards for Work & Health and the NOVO research network.
