Lorrie Metzger

Lorrie Metzger is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Accounting and Law at the University at Buffalo School of Management, where she also serves as Faculty Director of the Undergraduate Honors Program. She holds an MBA from UB and a BS from Rochester Institute of Technology. With over 10 years of professional experience in public accounting and internal audit, her background includes financial auditing, SOX compliance, and banking sector audits at institutions including Deloitte, M&T Bank, and First Niagara Financial Group.

She teaches Accounting Information Systems, Data Analytics for Accountants, and Information Technology Auditing. She maintains active membership in the Institute of Internal Auditors, ISACA, and NYSSCPA, integrating real-world case studies into her pedagogy.
