Lori DiVito

Lori DiVito is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, holding roles in the Amsterdam School of International Business (AMSIB) and leading the Collaborative Innovation and Entrepreneurship professorship. Her research focuses on multi-stakeholder collaboration dynamics, sustainability transformations in industries like textiles, healthcare, and agri-food, and circular economy ecosystems. She earned her PhD in Organizational Studies from the University of Manchester and has extensive industry experience in multinational firms.

DiVito’s work spans peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Journal of Cleaner Production and Business & Society, with notable projects including the Alliance for Responsible Denim and CONESU initiatives. She has supervised student theses on circular business models and received awards like the AESE Case Writing Competition and Leuphana Best Paper Award. Her teaching integrates paradox mindset development and experiential learning in sustainability challenges.

Key collaborations include cross-sectoral projects in the Global South and North, emphasizing ecosystem development and decision-making in circular procurement. She actively participates in conferences and organizes events like the CIE Online Conference 2022, fostering academic and practitioner dialogue.
