Lori Bernard is an Associate Professor of Spanish in the Department of Global Languages and Cultures at State University of New York at Geneseo since 2007. Her academic work focuses on Medieval and Renaissance Spanish literature with emphasis on cultural and historical contexts.
- Education:
- Ph.D. in Spanish Literature, University of California-Davis (2002)
- M.A. in Spanish Literature and Culture, Cleveland State University (1995)
Her research spans Medieval/Renaissance Spanish literature, popular poetry traditions, and early theater forms. Recent publications examine manuscript studies and canonical revisions in Golden Age poetry. She serves on academic affiliations including the Society for Renaissance and Baroque Hispanic Poetry, Modern Language Association, and Renaissance Society of America.
