Loree Branham serves as a Professor and Research Scientist within the Department of Agriculture at Angelo State University, where she maintains an active role in academic mentorship and departmental operations from her office in Vincent Building 221. Her responsibilities include serving as Graduate Advisor and leading key student organizations: Delta Tau Alpha (agriculture honor society), Pre-Veterinary Society, and Meat and Food Science Association.
Her research and teaching expertise spans Agriculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Meat Science, and Food Science, directly supporting the department's hands-on facilities like the Meat and Food Science labs and Agriculture Research Facilities (MIR). These focus areas drive practical student training in meat processing, food safety, and pre-veterinary preparation through structured academic programs and competitive teams.
Dr. Branham actively engages with departmental resources including the Meat Market product sales and wildlife hunts, while advising students on internships, job placements, and scholarship opportunities. Her leadership in the Living Learning Community and Agriculture Competitive Teams further demonstrates commitment to immersive agricultural education beyond traditional classroom settings.
