Long Ye

Dr Long Ye serves as a Plasma Applications Scientist (KTP Associate) within the Institute for Materials and Processes at the University of Edinburgh's School of Engineering. His research focuses on industrial applications of plasma technologies for material synthesis and surface modification.

His primary research areas include Plasma Applications (specializing in industrial processing), Plasma Physics, Materials Science, and Engineering. This work bridges academic research with industrial implementation through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.

Based in room 1.2 of the Mary Bruck Research Institutes, Dr Ye contributes to the Materials and Processes research group's mission of advancing plasma-based material engineering solutions for real-world manufacturing challenges.
