معرفی
London Cooper-Troendle is a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Pittsburgh specializing in experimental particle physics with emphasis on neutrino interactions and precision cross-section measurements.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Physics, Yale University, 2023. Dissertation: "First Measurement of Inclusive Muon Neutrino Charged Current Triple Differential Cross Section on Argon", advised by Professor Bonnie Fleming.
Her research focuses on reducing neutrino interaction modeling uncertainties critical for next-generation oscillation experiments like DUNE and Hyper-K. Using Liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber (LArTPC) technology from the MicroBooNE experiment, she developed advanced reconstruction techniques achieving 92% pure muon neutrino selection with 68% efficiency. Her work enables precise triple-differential cross-section measurements across neutrino energy, muon momentum, and scattering angle through Wiener SVD unfolding methods.
Honors and Awards:
- U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science Graduate Student Research Program Fellowship
Dr. Cooper-Troendle's DOE-funded doctoral research directly supports neutrino mass hierarchy and CP violation investigations by validating interaction models through constrained goodness-of-fit tests. Her contributions to the MicroBooNE collaboration advance LArTPC capabilities for future large-scale detectors.
