Lola Loustaunau is an Assistant Professor at the School for Workers, University of Wisconsin-Madison. As a researcher, teacher, and activist, she focuses on job quality, public policy, and collective organizing. Her work intersects labor sociology and migration studies, examining precarity and resistance in employment contexts.

Her research spans labor rights, migrant worker conditions, and pandemic-era workplace challenges, with publications in Labor Studies Journal, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, and Sociological Perspectives. She investigates scheduling legislation, migrant labor exploitation, and collective action frameworks, particularly in food-processing industries.
Key leadership roles include Vice President at Large at the American Federation of Teachers-Oregon and Vice President of Political Education at the Graduate Teaching Fellows Federation. She currently explores the impacts of COVID-19 on migrant workers in food processing, emphasizing resistance and advocacy.
