Lois Scheidt is an Adjunct Instructor at the School of Information Studies, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She holds a Ph.D. in Information and Library Science from Indiana University. Her research focuses on digital ethics, intellectual freedom, and social media policy in libraries, alongside adolescent internet use and social digital science. She has extensive teaching experience across universities, community colleges, and institutions offering courses in digital technology, information science, informatics, library science, business, communication, and public administration.
Education: Ph.D. in Information and Library Science from Indiana University.
Research Interests: Lois’s work addresses ethical dimensions of digital technologies, particularly in library contexts. She examines how social media policies shape library services and explores adolescents’ online behaviors. Her interdisciplinary approach spans library science, technology ethics, and educational practices.
Teaching: She teaches undergraduate and graduate students in diverse disciplines, emphasizing practical and theoretical aspects of information systems, digital ethics, and technology integration. Courses include topics in library science, informatics, and business applications of technology.
