معرفی
Lodovica Braida is a Professor at the University of Milan, Italy, specializing in early modern Italian written culture. She was invited as a guest lecturer for the "For a history of written culture in Italy (16th-18th centuries)" program under the Roger Chartier Chair in Writing and Cultures in Modern Europe during November–December 2009 at the Marcelin Berthelot site.
Her research centers on the evolution of written communication in early modern Italy, with emphasis on epistolary manuals, censorship mechanisms, book circulation practices, and literary property frameworks. She investigates how religious doctrines and linguistic models shaped 16th-century letter-writing conventions, how censorship operated through indexes and self-censorship, the material forms of widely circulated texts, and emerging concepts of authorship in the eighteenth century.
