Ljuben Kocev is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Foreign Trade at the Faculty of Economics, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, where he has been employed since December 2017 while pursuing doctoral studies.
Education:
- Secondary education: SUGS “Rade Jovchevski – Korchagin”, Skopje
- First and second cycle: Faculty of Law “Justinianus Primus”, Skopje
- Specialized Master's in Law and Business: Bucerius Law School, Hamburg (2016-2017) with full scholarship, specialization in International Arbitration
- Current: Doctoral candidate at School of Doctoral Studies, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University
Research Interests: Dr. Kocev's expertise centers on commercial law, contract law, and corporate law, with deep specialization in arbitration law and competition law. His work bridges legal frameworks and international business practices, informed by extensive scientific stays across Europe and China. He actively contributes to academic discourse through publications and conference presentations.

Advising and Professional Activities: Dr. Kocev mentors the university's Willem C. Vis Moot team and serves as an arbitrator at Vienna oral hearings. His professional experience includes domestic law firm work and an internship at Hogan Lovells LLP in Munich. He maintains active membership in the London School of Economics academic network for the CEFTA region.
Teams and Collaborations: He participates in international academic networks and coordinates student teams for global arbitration competitions, leveraging scientific stays in Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, and China to foster cross-border legal education.
