Lizan Nijkrake is a Lecturer and Tutor at PPLE since 2019. She coordinates and teaches courses on Law, Justice and Morality, and Public International Law. Her professional background includes roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague and the United Nations in New York. She also works in journalism and engages with societal organizations, such as the Democracy and Media Foundation in Amsterdam. At PPLE, she oversees the Talent Development Programme, a student-led initiative fostering personal and professional growth.
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, critical engagement with societal issues, and fostering analytical skills in students from diverse backgrounds. She prioritizes informal, personalized interactions to support student development and societal impact.
