Liz Lee Reynolds is a Research Manager at the School of Life Sciences, University of Essex. She holds an MA in Wild Writing: Literature, Landscape, and the Environment from the University of Essex (2015). Her work focuses on marine conservation, sustainability, and equity in science. She actively organizes academic events, such as the School Seminar Series, and collaborates with organizations like Greenpeace and the Blue Marine Foundation on projects like the Essex Native Oyster Restoration Initiative (ENROI).
Her research interests include rewilding marine ecosystems, ocean governance, and addressing systemic barriers in academia. She has authored blogs on topics like marine biodiversity recovery, the role of academic research in environmental activism, and inequality in science. Reynolds is also involved in promoting diversity in STEM through initiatives like the University’s decolonization of the curriculum.
