Liz Gillis serves as History Professor and Student Life Manager at Champlain College Dublin, teaching Irish History while leveraging her deep expertise in Ireland's revolutionary period. Hailing from Dublin's Liberties district, she bridges academic rigor with public engagement through her institutional roles.
Her research specializes in the Irish Revolution and Easter Rising, evidenced by six authored books and extensive contributions to documentaries, radio programs (including RTE's History Show), and publications. She has held significant public history positions such as Historian in Residence for South Dublin County Council during the Decade of Centenaries.
