Liudmila Sivetc is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Turku since August 2022, focusing on freedom of expression and online platforms. Her research examines state control of online speech via internet infrastructure, particularly in Russia, and the interplay between EU laws and ECtHR jurisprudence. She holds an LL.D. and has taught courses such as 'Legal Aspects of Acting Online,' 'Law and Artificial Intelligence,' and 'Freedom of Expression on Online Platforms.'

Research & Teaching: Liudmila investigates digital rights, internet governance, and the legal implications of AI. She has held visiting researcher positions at the Center for Internet and Society (Paris, 2019) and Yale Law School’s Information Society Project (2023). Her postdoctoral work explores online news comment moderation and EU regulatory frameworks.
