Liu Tai-Ting is a researcher affiliated with the Graduate Institute of International Politics at National Chung Hsing University. His work focuses on international political economy, East Asia regional integration, and foreign policy dynamics of major powers like China and Japan. He holds a Ph.D. in International Politics (IPE) and has conducted research on post-Cold War policy shifts and regional cooperation mechanisms.
Key research contributions include analyses of Japan-China relations, Sino-U.S. strategic competition, and Northeast Asia security dynamics. His work bridges theoretical frameworks like neo-classical realism with empirical case studies of regional integration initiatives. Liu has been recognized with multiple academic awards for his papers on geopolitical strategy and policy analysis.
He completed a visiting fellowship at the European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan (2012) and participated in international training programs including a UC Berkeley internship. His research spans journals like the Japanese Journal of Political Science and Political Perspectives Graduate Journal, focusing on themes of hegemonic stability, climate policy, and transnational regionalism.
